Cause Supporting - The profits are directly donated to Rafiki Mwema, an organisations that brings tumaini (meaning hope) to young girls & boys in Kenya who have suffered trauma. Committed to understanding and repairing the intense pain these children have experienced, Rafiki Mwema, (meaning loyal friend) have built four houses on their farm in Nakuru, Kenya and look after over 200 children physically & emotionally.
“...We help our girls to understand their frightening experience and allow them to know that they are not to blame. While they are with us, our girls receive medical attention; support through their court cases; education; therapy and a warm, loving, playful and empathic environment – we change the air they breathe so they can repair from the inside. At Rafiki Mwema we work with our boys to respect themselves and others. We give them the values to become safe husbands and fathers. We help them to be able to be loved.”
The Good Life - These candles are created with those in mind who need something to help relax their mind, & distract from their troubles. And that's something that we all need from time to time.
Locally Made - Loobylou Candle artisans are based in Sydney, Australia. When you purchase a Loobylou product you are helping support Australian small business.
Materials: Soy wax, glass jar with wooden lid.
Scents: Red rose, jasmine, peony, gardenia, balsam, cardamon & musk.
Burn time: 80 Hours.
Burn tips: To get the most out of your candle make sure to burn it for 1-3 hours at a time & trim the wick to 5mm before lighting.
When you first burn your Loobylou candle, make sure to burn it until the wax pool reaches the edge of the glass. This will ensure your candle always burns even & you get the most from your candle, avoiding the wax forming into a tunnel in the centre.
Always trim your wick before you light your Loobylou candle. This ensures the wick doesn’t ‘mushroom’ & smoke.
Discontinue burning when you have 1cm or less in your Loobylou candle.
Always burn your Loobylou candle on a heat resistant surface.
Do not leave your Loobylou candle unattended.
Do not burn your Loobylou candle for more than 3 hours at a time.
If you are burning more than one candle in the same room, ensure you leave at least 10cm between both burning candles.
If your Loobylou Candle glass has formed soot around the edge (because you haven’t been trimming the wick), use a damp paper towel to gently wipe it off & your candle container will look as good as new.
