Details
Values

People Loving - Kenana Knitters follow fair trade guidelines & are committed to providing a safe working environment for their largely female workforce.

Handcrafted - Each Bundu (meaning bush) Owl is hand knitted & made from wool that has been handspun by a talented artisan in Kenya.

Planet Loving - The Bundu Owl is made using sustainably sourced wool & all natural dyes derived from local plants & flowers, eliminating the waste caused by processing. All wool is washed in rainwater captured from the roof of the workshop & stored in big tanks. Waste water from washing & dyeing the wool can be used to water the garden.

Cause Supporting - A portion of profits from each Bundu Owl goes toward running a monthly health clinic for the 580 plus staff of Kenana Knitters.

The Good Life - Regardless of whether it’s the little arms of someone you love or your own arms around a Kenana Knitters creation, it’s comforting knowing that everything about your Kenana critter is all-natural.
