The Age Old Dilemma of What to Drink When You're Not Drinking
Posted on 22 March 2018
Ever suffered the dilemma of what to drink when you’re not drinking … well you’re suffering is over my friend!
Seedlip has created the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirits. Ben, Seedlip’s fearless founder, has a 300 year farming ancestry, a fascination for the art of distillation, a passion for Mother Earth, & a desire to change the way the world drinks. It was inevitable he would arrive at Seedlip, right?!
"I think of us as a nature company rather than a drinks company. I wanted Seedlip to use amazing ingredients & to capture the art of nature," says Ben.
Seedlip comes in two versions:
Seedlip Spice 94
Aromatic & woody. Oak, cascarilla bark, cardamom all spice, lemon & grapefruit.
Seedlip Garden 108
Herbal & floral. Hay, pea, spearmint, rosemary, thyme, hop.
Ben is also developing a third version of Seedlip, about which he's remaining fairly tight-lipped, other than to say it will be a dark spirit.
Served in the world’s best three cocktail bars, over 100 Michelin starred restaurants & luxury hotels … my humble opinion – it’s dreadfully good. And should you need more convincing, it’s rap sheet reads like a dream: sugar, calorie, & sweetener free, no artificial flavours, no allergens ...
A little while ago I became aware of the phenomenon of Seedlip, but it was only a month ago while in the UK, the birth place of Seedlip, that I decided I needed to find out first hand what all the buzz was about. So I dragged myself off to a rather swanky establishment to indulge in some well earned Seedlip mocktails … & my life hasn’t been the same since.
In fact, I was so taken with what I tasted that I brought out all my powers of persuasion to charm the barman into sharing his well-guarded recipes with me … so I can now share them with you, along with a few from Seedlip themselves. But before we kick off, here’s the recipe for Sugar Syrup, which you’ll find in some of the recipes:
